Buckingham palace!

Buckingham palace with the Victoria monument in front
Recently I went a a trip with my dad to Africa, London and Paris. We went for my grandpa`s funeral.

On the way back we stopped in London. There we stayed with his friend John who had a daughter named Megan and a son named Raphael. Megan had a baby bunny which was really cute and liked to sit on the sofa when we ate breakfast.

Buckingham was really cool and we got to see the changing of the guard.   The changing of the guard is formal ceremony in which the guards that are guarding get to go back home and a new group of guards will then come to guard.

The Victoria Memorial is a monument to Queen Victoria, designed by the sculptor Sir Thomas Brock. There are 775 rooms in Buckingham Palace including the 19 State Rooms and 78 bathrooms.
The State Rooms are a suite of lavishly decorated public rooms in Buckingham Palace where the queen receives, rewards and entertains her visitors. Several of these rooms were used for the Royal Wedding reception for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (Prince William and Kate Middleton)

Colour, Symbol, Image!!

Today we had TTS day ( Traditional Teaching Style) When we walked into the classroom this was what is looked like:

There were desk all lined up and named.

There was a desk up the front with a globe and a dictionary. Next to it up the front was a low small table loaded with books, it looked like it would collapse under the weight.

After TTS (Traditional Teaching Style) and after we had all recovered from the shock of no devices,  we got back to our normal day and did a CSI ( colour, symbol, image)

These are my CSIs as you can see

The fairy adventure!!

Traditional Teaching Style :(

Traditional Teaching Style

I could hear shouts and screams. I walked faster. Then i saw what was wrong.  There was a sign on the door saying:

DO NOT ENTER TILL 8:50

There were desk all lined up and named.

There was a desk up the front with a globe and a dictionary. Next to it up the front was a low small table loaded with books, it looked like it would collapse under the weight.

Then we saw the teachers. They were dressed really weird. Miss G was wearing and black skirt and top with glasses and Mr R was wearing a suit with a black tie.

We had to stand behind our named desks and sing the national anthem. Then we sat down and did math. After 10 minutes we did dictation.

Then chanting basic facts. We were allowed to go and get one piece of food from our bags. The teachers said that they had thought of a way to help us to digest our food.

Mr R would say Bite, Chew , Bite , Chew. And so it went on until the teachers said ok got outside and line up we had to march and then the teachers put us into groups and told us what to play. We all went inside and then the teachers told us it was all fake!!!!!

What a busy day!!

Climbing the Eiffel Tower

Climbing the Eiffel Tower

During the holidays I went with my dad to Africa, London and Paris.

In Paris, on our first day we went to climb the Eiffel tower. I was really excited. I had seen it in the distance from our hotel room, but the closer we got the bigger it seemed to get.

When we where there I asked my dad `Can we please take the elevator `No " said my dad. And so began the long and tired climb to the top. At the top there was a great view and we took heaps of photos. It took us 1 hour to climb up but we did it after we took the boat back to the hotel.

And guess who was waiting there for us? My aunty, I was so happy to see her!!! She had gone on the train from Rotterdam to see us! She had brought presents for all of us.
